Obituary for Angela Lillian Marion Worrell

Angela Lillian Marion Worrell, 86 passed away peacefully on January 5th , 2023 at her home with her family by her side. Angela was born in Middlesex England to the late Lillian Ethel Ball and Frederick John Ball. Angela met her husband of 59 years, Joseph Raymond Worrell in England while Joseph was serving in the United States Air Force. Angela and Joseph moved to the United States in 1956 to start a life together. They were blessed with two wonderful children, the late Keith Raymond Worrell and Bridgette Lynn Worrell-Crawley. Angela was a devoted and loving mother who worked full time while also raising two children. Angela retired from the Bank of America after 30 years of service. After retiring from the Bank of America Angela worked as a fragrance model at Nordstroms and Dillard’s. Angela possessed many talents, she was an accomplished pianist in her early years, a master seamstress and an amazing cook. Angela especially loved to open her home for the holidays and cook for her family and friends. we are all going to miss her home-made Yorkshire pudding and fruit cake, but her greatest talent was her ability to instantly make friends and win people over. Angela never lost her charming English accent or her witty since of humor. Anyone Angela met was instantly drawn to her. Angela was a very caring person with a spitfire personality who would tell you like it was when needed or be the first there to help you out. Angela loved animals, she had several Siamese cats over the years and adopted a couple of dogs in her lifetime. Angela was a petite person, but she had a giant heart.

Left to cherish Angela s memory are her sister, Madeline Mead and her husband Jeff of Oxfordshire England, her daughter, Bridgette Worrell-Crawley and her husband John Crawley, her daughter in law , Danette Cress , her grandchildren, John Worrell , Brianna Ward and her Great granddaughter , London Ward.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Angela s friends Gladys, Toni and Treva and special thanks to Cricket and the staff at Sentara for all the special care they gave Angela.
