I know Aletha is rejoicing in heaven today. She was my wonderful friend and neighbor for years when I lived in Virginia Beach. She was a very wise lady and she encouraged me and Richard when we accepted the Lord. She will be missed but I’m sure she and Richard are
having a great conversation in heaven. Brenda Wright

She was a pleasure to be around and always had a smile on her face. You will certainly be missed.

"Miss Aletha," as I called her, was always so nice to me when I visited my mom, Mrs. Harris, on the Town and Country wing at Sentara Chesapeake Oak Grove Nursing Center. Always upbeat and displaying a big smile on her face, she was a joy to be around, and I looked forward to our friendly lunchtime chats at her dining table. On occasion, I would see her in the hallway and would ask if I could push her wheelchair to help her get to wherever it was that she was going. She was grateful, and I know she always appreciated my gesture of help. She cared deeply about her friends and the other residents at Sentara Oak Grove, and would always ask me how my mother and (late) sister were doing. I considered her my friend and I was very saddened to learn of Miss Aletha's passing, but I know that she is at home in the arms of Jesus now. All who knew, loved, and interacted with Miss Aletha will dearly miss her.

"Her worship and love of Jesus consumed every part of her life". This is the nicest thing that can ever be said about a person. Thank you for sharing this lovely tribute to a much-loved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
I did not know Aletha Seltzer, but can see she was a very special lady and know she is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven. We grieve not being able to be with our loved one but are assured she is with the Son of God and experiencing the most wonderful life imaginable! As believers we know will be be together again one day in Heaven.

My very dearest and sweetest best friend. What a joy she brought in my life! I am so thankful to God how He brought us together! The biggest impact she made on me was that the Lord always came first and she was a fragrance to God to those being saved and to those perishing. She was a model of the love of Christ! She was alert to any opportunity to tell others about Jesus...even to telemarketers!!!! She led a telemarketer to Faith in Christ over the phone. :) he called her back a couple of months later to tell her of the changes Christ made in his life and his family's life! Words are not enough....i have many treasures of our times together over the last 13 or so years. Fun, laughter, prayers, meals, and stories of the past...and as David said about his friend Jonathan..."our souls were knit together!" Oh how I LOVE Mrs Seltzer! Oh how I miss her! But one day...i have this glorious hope promised me that I WILL see her again!!! Praise God!
