Ronald Lee Pettitt, 70, passed away unexpectedly at his home November 19, 2016. Ron was born in Bellingham, WA to the late Bob and Elizabeth Pettitt. He served his country in the United States Navy, was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Desert Storm and retired after 22 years of service. Ron most recently worked as a private contractor for the United States Navy Joint Forces Command.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 45 years, Loretta J. Pettitt; daughters, Althea R. Mt. Pleasant, Sarah L. Strickland (Charles) and Ruth A. Pettitt (Fiancé, Elijah Garitano); sons, Jeremy L Pettitt (Sherry) and Bobby L. Pettitt (Danielle); and 12 grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk with full military honors.
