Joseph Franklin Spear, 50, went to be with his Lord August 3, 2015. Joseph was born in Okinawa, Japan to George and Judith Tacy Spear. Joe was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church and teacher of the Kingdom Seekers sunday school class. He was the former pastor at Christ First Community Fellowship Baptist, Norfolk; served as interim pastor of Shadowlawn Baptist Church and had also served at the Korean Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Grace Spear; daughters, Kimberly and Olivia Spear; his parents, George and Judy Spear; sister, Deborah Spear; and brother, William "Bill" Spear.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Friday, August 7. 2015 at 11 am at Kempsville Baptist Church with Dr. Kelly Burris officiating.
