Condolence From: Lisa (Jandreau) Hinkle
Condolence: I met Paul when we were 18 yrs. old. We were stationed on YP craft in Newport, RI.
He was a Seamen Apprentice, I was a Seamen. (Dennis, and so the competition began:)
We met in March 1978 and were married in November of the same year. We were inseparable Played racquetball, rode bikes, ran, did everything together. When it was time to get transferred Paul asked me to make the call to the detailer. He said to ask for a good duty station, and a 'small boat.' So we were going to Pensacola, Fl on the USS Lexington! (a small boat) Paul was always my friend. We last spoke this March 2010. We have 2 beautiful daughters whom he loved more than life itself and reminded me of that in March. I said, I know, there was never any question, now stop being a goober. He's one of a kind generous, and good person. I, we, many, will miss him very much. But I am very comforted to know we will meet again. Thank you all for sharing your stories with me. Rest Dear Paul. A job very well done. Lisa Marie

Condolence From: TED WALTHER
Condolence: When we would hit the ramp, returning to ACU-4, he was there. When we would leave the ramp, he was usually the last one we saw or heard over the radio. When you would see him in the halls, if you did not have a smile on your face, he would always take a moment or two and ask in his salty voice if everything was O.K.? When he was wearing the Acting CMC hat(because our normal CMC was on travel or something)he would make a point of touring all the Detachment spaces and talk with as many of the crewmembers as possible during the day, the only time he would duck into the goat locker was to refill his coffee cup, he was always out and about. He was always there for us like a sheppard tending his sheep. Thank you Master Chief Jandreau for being there for us, you will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by this LCAC Loadmaster. My heartfelt Condolences to his two daughters and the rest of his family.

Condolence From: William Maloney U.S. Navy BM3
Condolence: To the family of Paul Jandreau,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences in your loss I am very sorry. I knew Master Chief Jandreau more than twenty five years ago when he was my Leading Petty Officer on board the USS Josephus Daniels. He taught me many things and mentored my development in becoming a better Petty Officer & man. I did not understand or agree with everything he showed me or taught me but eventually I learned. I apologize as I could not make the services. Paul was taken much too early and there are no words that can make up for your loss. Please be comforted in the fact he touch many lives and he will be missed. God bless you and God bless our country and all the men and women who serve in our armed forces so heroically.
Thank You. Sincerely, Bill Maloney BM3

Condolence From: keith old
Condolence: I work at BAE Systems, i knew who Paul was and spoken to him a few times, but a few months ago, for the first time I was able to really get to talk and know him a little better. He did a safety audit in our shop, it was a pleasure to get to know him, he was such a nice person. I also live in Moyock, we talked about where we each lived and how much we both like living in Moyock,
I talked to him about going on vacation to Destin Fl. He was excited about telling me all about Destin, he told me the places to go and things to do while we were there how long it would take to get there etc., he was one who could make friends very easy I see and know why he had a good loyal group of friends who really cared about him, and that tells you a lot about a person. I am so sorry for your lost. I know you all miss him dearly!

Condolence From: Randal E Howell GSCS(SW/AW) US Navy retired
Condolence: Pauly, I know you are up there looking down on us,....You and I spent many years working together, from sea and shore duty, to my final tour at EWTGLANT where you were CMC and master of ceremonies for my retirement... You were a brother in the Chiefs Mess and even though full of yourself 99 percent of the time, it was justified because of your leadership, professionalism, unparalelled ability and personality..
What a shame, and terrible waste.... I regret only chatting with you on Facebook a few weeks prior to you leaving us... I will miss you! and see you when God calls us all..

God Speed, and Fair Winds!

Your Brother,

Randal
