Condolence: Sam and I worked together for many years in the office at Smith Middle where he volunteered. He always had a friendly smile and nice hello for everyone that visited the school. He sure loved the Smith Tigers and I don't believe he ever met a stranger. His dedication to his school, community and friends were obvious in everything he did. Our community has sadly lost a good soul. Once a Tiger always a Tiger! Rest in peace Sam.

Condolence: I have known Sammy for so many years. He was one of the nicest people anyone would ever want to know. He always ask about Kyle, my son, while Kyle was in the Army and always told me to tell him Hi. Sammy was always a familar face at the Moose Lodge and Bingo. Always a Bingo player at Baily Hall and the Moose. Sammy is now home with God, never again will he know pain. he will probably be teaching the angels how to play Bingo. Prayers for his family.

Condolence: Sam was truly one of a kind. He would stop by to check on me twice a week after I had my knee surgery last month. Not even concerned with how his back was hurting from his surgery a month before. He loved my grandson “his little buddy James “ Sam would stop by on Fridays just to see him and ask how he was doing in his new school. Such a kind heart and a sweet soul. I will miss his visits and we will never forget our Mr. Sam.

Such an honor it was to know Sammy, to see him passing by my house, on his way to the school. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.
