Obituary for Martha Wallace Corbett
Martha Wallace Corbett, 86, of Chesapeake, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on September 20, 2017. She was born in Laurens, South Carolina and relocated with her parents, the late Nathan and Dorothy Wallace, to Norfolk where she attended Granby High School and William and Mary College extension at ODU. Her educational experience included cheerleading and basketball.
Besides her parents, Martha was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Louis Corbett. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters and their spouses, Debbie Bradshaw, Patty Scarboro, Karen and Tim Sitterson and Linda and Rob Matkins; grandchildren, Brian, Kevin, Tommy, Kacie, Danielle, Ashley and Sydnie; great-grandchildren, Jayson, Madison, Ayden and Abigail; and her furry companion, Bella.
Martha's joys were her grandchildren and watching their athletic games, socializing with her church family at Oaklette United Methodist Church and the beach. Her bright blue eyes and big smile will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Rd.
