The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Walter Ashley, can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Pastor Godfrey & Members of Fairview Baptist Church

The "watch" has come to a graduation for Brother Ashley. He stood by his post as a great warrior in God's Army. His testimony will not be forgotten in the days ahead. There are too many recruits that looked up to him for a "strong stand in the Faith given by God". Yes there will be those moments of sadness but they are overshadowed by the life of service to the Lord. We wait upon the Lord, to walk with us each day, and our prayer to the family, is that you will stand your "watch" with the same faith as your loved one did for God. Our prayers are with all of the family. Pastor Lee Godfrey and Members of Fairview Baptist Church, Chesapeake, Virginia
